The ministry of Youth and Sports in a press release dated 5th January 2021 has announced that, government have ease the restriction on football. The press release made reference to the number 17 update on the measures taken by Government to combat the spread of covid 19.

‘”With respect to football, after due consultations with the Ghana Football Association, it has been decided that the Ghana premier League and the Division One Football League will restart on friday30th October, with a full regime of testing of players, technical and management staff. No spectator will be allowed at the training centers, and, when actual competition resumes, seating at all stadia will be limited to twenty five percent capacity to ensure social distance. wearing of mask by spectators at all stadia will be mandatory”

moreover ,there was a spike in the country’s  coronavirus case before November 2020.that is the reason the administrative directive from the ministry that the twenty five percent seating capacity announced earlier should be hold.
