DUADASO NO. 2: CHIEF BEMOANS POOR STATE OF ROADS
The chief of Duadaso No 2, a community in the Jaman North district who is also the Benkumhene of Sampa Traditional Council Nana Wolli-Ngo II has pleaded with President Nana Akuffo Addo to instruct the contractor on the Sampa – Duadaso road to return to site to continue with the construction of the road.
Speaking to the media who spoke on behalf of Duadaso No 2 chief, stated that, the contractor who was on the site during the campaign season left the site with all his machines and has never returned to site after the 2020 general elections.
He added that, the contractor after his demolition of a bridge that links to the Duadaso No 2 chief’s Palace, promised to reconstruct the said bridge immediately as possible but that has not materialized. This development according to the Chief poses a great danger to the throne of the Chief and his elders therefore the President must intervene to have the contractor come back to site to continue with the construction of the Sampa-Duadaso road.
Some of the residents also expressed their displeasure that, the contractor’s inability to construct the gutters has caused them more harm especially when it rains.
Finally some of the roads users (drivers and Riders) described the road as a death trap because the chippings deposited on the road side by the contractor has a great negative impact on the lives of the road users.
