Assin Foso Fire Service Station Officer DO3 Paul Tawiah has disclosed to the media that, the survey conducted by their service on the recent rise of fire outbreaks at market places across the country indicates that activities of ghetto boys are a primary catalyst of fire insurrection.
To expatiate, he stated that most ghetto boys don’t off their smoked Cigarette and weed properly after use. And this negligent attitude leads to major fire outbreaks.
Furthermore, he advised traders at various market centres to desist from using quack or unprofessional electricians for their electrical jobs within market places. This is due to the particular reason that most unqualified electricians use unsuitable and cheap cables or wires for their work.
To cap it, he urged traders to stay away from using the market place as a cooking hub.
“Most market structures are made of wood and metal sheets. Such materials are highly combustible and when burnt refuse are not properly handled at the market, the end result may be disastrous.
