Bono east regional health director, Dr. Fred Adomako Boateng has said,the region has recorded 1,440 cases of Covid 19 with five acitve cases and 24 deaths since the region recorded it’s first case in May 2020.
He said the region has not recorded any case for the past two days which indicates that, adherence level of the safety protocols is very positive.
Dr. Adomako therefore implored Ghanaians to continue to adhere to the safety protocols for the complete eradication of the virus from the system.
Touching on measures the health directorate has put in place to curb the spread of the pandemic in the days ahead; the regional health director said,they have sanctioned all the hospitals in the region to have at least ten beds to manage covid cases at the hospital level so as to reduce pressure on referral centers.
He further stated that,all health institutions in the region have again been sanctioned to quantify their oxygen cylinders for critical case(s) management and at least one health personnel who has been giving special training on critical cases management,who will take of critical cases. He further advised Ghanaians to continue to stick to the usage of the nose masks since that is the surest bet to ending the pandemic.
