Dokrochiwa Chief appeals for police station

The chief of Dokrochiwa in the Ayensuano District of the Eastern region,Nana Baffour Anom II, has appealed to the Inspector General of Police(IGP) to provide the town with a Police station to ensure safety of the residents and prevent criminal activities.

According to Nana Baffour Anom II,the Police station has become necessary following recent criminal activities on residents,making them live in fear of their life and properties.

Nana Baffour Anom II,made this appeal when the Rotary International in partnership with USAID water and sanitation project together with Rotary Club of Accra Labone commissioned a ground water based water supply system to the people of Dokrochiwa worth Ghc 573,569.50 .

He thanked Rotary International , USAID water and sanitation project and Rotary Club of Accra Labone for providing the community with Ground water based piped water supply in which they have been lacking for a long time and will benefit about 3000 people in the community.

The Vice President of Rotary Club Accra Labone in an interview with peace news added that, the project was about of their 20th anniversary and they took this opportunity to construct a water project for the people of Dokrochiwa with the support of USAID Water and Sanitation Project where they took it as their opportunity to identify the communities in which they lack water to their people.
