The Progressive Old Students Association of Akropong School for the blind are calling for the removal of the headmistress of Akropong School for the blind Madam Mahela Narh.
The Students of Akropong school for the blind embarked on a demonstration on Friday 14th May 2021 which was accompanied by a joint petition by the student representatives Council and the Progressive Old Students Association of the school on the same demand.
Speaking at a press conference in accra, the secretary of the Progressive Old Students Association of the school, Bismark Amoah said,their demand for the removal of the headmistress to highlight the plight and needs of students and staffs of the school and seek the wellbeing of the students including conducive academic environment.
According to him, Madam Mahela Narh has been involved in numerous activities such as misappropriation of money which belongs to the school, disrespecting of students and teachers of the school and selling of food items which also belongs to the school and will tarnished the image of the government if she is not remove from her post. He said, they are going to formally petition the Economic Organized Crime Office(EOCO),the Commission on Human Rights and Administration Justice(CHRAJ) and the National Investigation Bureau(NIB) and they have evidence such as audio, Video, pictorial and documentary to back their claim when they present their petition next week.
