Trust FM’s Events team officially announced the commencement of activities for the fourth edition of the annual Stone City Festival.
The announcement, broadcasted on the radio, detailed the strategies that would be implemented to promote and generate excitement for the highly anticipated event, which attracts a diverse crowd of attendees, including both locals and visitors.
The festivities include hiking, a variety of games, opportunities to socialize and network with new individuals, and the chance to expand one’s social circles.
Scheduled for the 27th of July this year, the team, accompanied by Trust FM staff adorned in black “Stone City-branded”Tee-Shirts, ventured into town to engage with various institutions, businesses, and service providers to acquaint them with the festival’s social and economic significance.
During a visit to the Asesewa Government Hospital (AGH), the team interacted with health professionals across different departments, including the administration, Antenatal clinic, male and female wards, and the Laboratory, culminating in a meeting with the nurses at the Out Patients Department (OPD).
The festival activities include a pre-festival football gala starting on Sunday, the 21st of July, a tour of the City of Stones, and the grand finale on Sunday, the 28th of the same month.
At the main event venue, attendees can participate in a Treasure hunt, where sponsored products will be hidden strategically among the rocks. Additionally, guided hiking tours will provide insights into the symbolic meanings behind the rock formations, followed by a musical performance featuring local Krobo artists to enhance the overall entertainment experience.
The team highlighted the significant economic opportunities for business owners, including those in transportation, food and beverage services, pub operations, and various food vendors. Confectionary sellers are also expected to benefit from the increased business activity during the festival.
