With high hopes for fun, joy and merry making, Krobos and entertainment lovers in the Eastern Region are eager to welcome and witness a live stage performance from some popular Ghanaian musicians in the upcoming 2023 Ngmayem Festival Concert.
Most mentioned and followed artist among residents in the area, Kofi Kinaata will be performing alongside some local artists including Don Brainy, Kofi Wayo and Narh-Yo come Saturday at the Oklemekuku Laasi Park, Odumase, the capital of Manya Krobo Traditional area.
Other expected artists are Doku Afro of the Characters Band, Lasmid and the Di Asa ladies.
At a rate of GH₵50.00 and GH₵100.00 for popular and VIP seats respectively, some Krobo residents in the Asesewa area remarked that they cannot wait for the day just for the Di Asa ladies.
On his part, Kwami Annor said, “I decided to go after I heard that the Di Asa girls will be coming because I always enjoy watching them on television.”
But ahead of the night, the forecourt of the District Assembly, Manpong is designed to host the Food Bazaar and Farmers Market even, for cooking competition and exhibition of Agriculture produces respectively.
The chiefs and people of Manya Krobo are currently marking their 2023 Agriculture festival under the theme, “Development in Unity: Reviving Patriotism through Unification” since last Saturday with a health walk through the principal street of Kpong to Odumase.
In traditional as well as royal red and black dressing characterized with drumming, singing and gunshot, massive crowd participated in the visit to the Krobo Royal Cemetery (Akleme), which caused heavy traffic for road commuters in the early part of Wednesday.
